The Domestic Data Service (DDS) is the NWS Family of Services' text-based general meteorological data feed providing observed data as well as textual forecast information covering the US, Canada, and Mexico.

DDS products include surface reports, upper air data, city forecasts, radar, PIBAL observations, pilot reports, SIGMET's, oceanographic data, buoy reports, and FOUS guidance. DDS reports are mostly coded information.

Marta  Systems'  SKYTAP™ Alphanumeric Weather Software or
WeatherPoint® software is required to access the NWS Domestic Data  and/or Public Products data services, and display the alphanumeric products on personal computer systems.

Domestic Data coded products (surface observations, terminal forecasts, upper air, etc.) can be plotted and graphically displayed using Marta Systems' optional   MS-Plot Plotting Software (Windows NT or Windows98).
